Let’s get physical

Posted on June 12, 2024July 16, 2024

Finally got my hands on a physical print copy of Fetch II and it’s a thing of beauty. The amount of work and attention to detail that goes into these books is breathtaking and I’m in awe of my team who put it all together after I’ve done the easy bit. And now the local kids can finally read it and stop kicking me in the shins for that cliffhanger finale…

That’s not to say there’s not a little heartbreak in this one too. Hope you dig it.

GOLD!

Check out This Awesome Comics Pod interview with Sandy about all things Storm King Comics. Myself and Dave get a little love in there too. Gotta say again how much fun it is working with Sandy, John and the team. We have a blast putting these things together.

Just signed a pile of Fetch comic books…

Always a pleasure.

Book II is only a few weeks away.

The physical copies now exist (in the USA at least) and will be on their way soon…

“The feel of a Pixar film in all the best ways”

Posted on March 25, 2024March 25, 2024

Thanks to Macabre Daily for another great Fetch 2 review.

“The visuals and set pieces are even more spectacular than the first, with mixtures of eerie and epic. There is a wonderful sense of scale and scope, from the small and intimate to the gigantic and looming to a degree I rarely get see captured so well in this medium.”

“Be ready to pick up Book 2 on the 8th of May. If you haven’t, and you are a fan of Pixar films; Greek Mythology; and child-driven, whimsical adventures (like Labyrinth, Mirrormask, or Neverending Story), then this is the sort of comic for you.”

This time from I Love Horror.

“A testament to the power of storytelling that weaves together adventure, Greek mythology, and the timeless bonds of love.”

“An unforgettable journey into a world where the lines between heroism and myth blur beautifully.”

“A thrilling adventure and a poignant exploration of courage and determination.”

“Fetch Book Two: The Rescue is not just a story; it’s an odyssey that challenges and delights, crafted to ignite young imaginations while providing a bridge to the rich tapestry of Greek mythology.”

“It seems clear that to Storm King Comics readers, Fetch Book Two: The Rescue is more than a graphic novel; it’s a celebration of storytelling’s power to inspire, educate, and entertain.”

FETCH: INDIES Book of the Year Finalist

Posted on March 8, 2024

FETCH is a finalist in the INDIES Book of the Year Awards and now one of the:

“most outstanding works representing a significant contribution to the literary landscape”

Not bad for a kids book about smashing skeletons to pieces.
